Stir-Fried Beans with Prawns



I had some beans from my MIL's garden.... and had to think of a dish to cook it up. I cut up some carrots (length-wise) and had some prawns to use as well....


300g prawns, peeled and deveined (How do I peel and devein prawns?)
400-500g green beans
2 carrots
2 tsp rice wine/chinese cooking wine
1.5 tsp salt
fried onions to serve
2 tbsp water or stock
2 garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped
1 tbsp vegetable oil

Place oil in fry pan on high heat. When the pan is hot enough, add chopped garlic and stir-fry until fragrant. Add carrots and cook for 1 minute. Add beans and stock/water, mix well and cook for 2 mins. Finally add prawns, cooking wine and salt to taste for 2 mins (until prawns turn red).

Dish out on serving plate and sprinkle over with fried onions (store-bought).
