How to Julienne A Carrot

Julienne is a culinary knife cut in which the food item is cut into long thin strips.

(From Masterchef Australia Cookbook Vol 1)
1. To julienne a carrot, first cut it into even lengths, about 3cm long.



2. Next cut lengthways into 2 mm slices.



3. Finally, cut each slice lengthways into 2 mm strips.
